Aklan Provincial PESO

 

The Aklan Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO) is a non-fee charging facility which aims to ensure prompt, timely and efficient delivery of employment facilitation services in the Province of Aklan. Pursuant to Republic Act No. 8759, otherwise known as the PESO Act of 1999, amended by RA 10691, the Provincial Government of Aklan sustained and maintained the office as a multi-dimensional employment service facility.

Through the passage of Provincial General Ordinance No. 2021-014 on December 2021, Aklan Provincial PESO is now a fully institutionalized Division under the Provincial Governor’s Office (PGO) with mandates to provide:

  • labor market trends and information;
  • referral and placement services for local and overseas employment;
  • employment or occupational counselling and career guidance; and
  • Help Desk services for Aklanon OFWs and their beneficiaries aimed to facilitate the programs and services of OWWA, POEA and NRCO.

 

Vision:

An institutionalized multi-employment service facility of the Province of Aklan providing gender-sensitive and timely labor market information, manned by efficient and client-friendly labor and employment personnel.

 

Mission:

To increase the employment rate of Aklan Province through the promotion of profitable and equal employment opportunities among Aklanon jobseekers, both local and overseas, to further promote their welfare and protection, reintegration and empowerment.
